These pieces were created live a Liverpool Markets VE Day celebrations, a bit of visual storytelling, where I drew soldiers, singers and shoppers for this special event.
Working live outdoors attracted quite a few onlookers, keen to see the work as it was being made. I've developed the ability to chat as I work from doing speed portraits, and the Liverpool crowd did like a bit of banter. I tried to capture as much as possible in the time available, and the sunshine was a bonus.

For this job, I was hired by Liverpool City Council. As with all live art projects, they got to keep the work that was made as well as photographed, cleaned-up versions of the art. I'm also open to revisions, for when a client wants to turn a piece of work into a poster or use it for additional marketing.
