Comedy skills workshops

Ever wanted to try stand-up comedy but don't know where to start? Want to find your comedy voice? I can help.

Perhaps you're a seasoned speaker doing half-hour presentations and want to see how you can add humour to your delivery. Or maybe you even want to add a TEDx talk to your bucket list

I teach stand-up comedy skills in two ways. Through a stand-up comedy course with ComedySportz, and 1-to-1 private sessions.

What we cover ;

  • Compering (Mcing)
  • Finding your comedy voice
  • Generating material & joke writing
  • Stage presence
  • Storytelling
  • Dealing with hecklers
  • When to use slide decks (for talks)

The humour muscles we develop for use on stage help off stage too. We look at how to use humour at work, to confidence and achieve career goals.

Face 2 Face or online? Both can work.

Face-to-face sessions are great fun and very practical, they help with body language too. Online sessions can cover most areas, but the body language part is a lot different. Online sessions are really helpful if you're delivering talks online with platforms like zoom. Online workshops make the most of a webcam window.

A little bit about Improv

Improv is an incredibly fun way to build confidence and develop skills. It’s not about trying to be funny, or cracking a joke at the expense of a teammate - improv uses games as a way to learn and develop. And it works fast.
